I'd been approached to act as a judge when they started out organising it. What I saw of the behind the scenes proceedings convinced me that a) the girl who runs it had a plan how to do it, and wasn't just making things up as she went along, b) people involved were enthusiastic about it.
I was very close to saying yes and becoming a judge, but I had to beg out due to lack of time.
I got stuff nominated too. I'm biassed, because they wanted Eric the Potplant and, dude, any award that has room for the least slashy thing ever written in this fandom must be good, as far as I'm concerned. *G* (And "He Said, She Said", runner-up for least slashy ever, and a damn obscure pairing to boot.)
