I would not have believed that the Doctor could be kissing anybody without it being cringeworthy, but it was unbelievable. Rose as avenging angel!!!!! omg

I am usually so jaded and cynical about television and I love to spoil plots for myself by guessing what happens, etc., so to find myself clapping my hands with glee (Jack/Doctor OMG!!!1) and being utterly transported by something that should, really, have been silly claptrap, was a great experience. I felt a great surge of fondness for everyone involved at the end. Even though I never thought I'd really like Captain Jack, the interloper.

Russel T. Davies is a fucking genius. Dr Who is a paeon (spelling?) to script over sfx. And the sfx such as they were are brilliant! I thought the time beam lasering out from Rose's eyes was just mindblowing! And when it lasered into the doctor's eyes! And when she said 'my doctor' - that was like a Sam "Mr Frodo" moment.

I was very suspicious of Captain Jack interloping. But when he zapped Trinny and Susannah, I was converted. And when he flirted with TV man (was his name Davitch or something?), I was smitten!!!

Maybe we'll get to see him kiss daleks next!!! Except there'll be no next : didn't they leave him stranded on that satellite when the Time Lord and Lady zoomed off in the tardis??
