I love this heat! I love, love, love it! T'h claims to be suffering. I say, hah, in this country you suffer 1 percent of the year while I suffer 99 percent of the year!

Woman, this is Ipswich, not Dubai! Get a grip!

And speaking of melting: I so liked that Dom-is-water snippet.

I like the heat. I do not like the heat in a small room with 26 kids and no breeze.

I like the heat on my deck with beer and my laptop.

I'm with you on that one. Luckily, uni finishes before school. *g*

I love the heat too, but where I am there is a device installed in the sky that ensures every time it goes above about 28, a bank of clouds rolls over and sits there until they manage to brew a thunderstorm.
When did England become tropical like this, anyway?

This is odd. You're only down the road from me, after all. I have not this bank of evil cloud! Except for today. I had it today.

And I was evolved to live in Alaska or Siberia. Heat makes me cranky and I love wearing sweaters. Although this year's prett skirts and lacy, skimpy tops are to die for, and I'm finally living somewhere where I can wear them more than twice a month. And the cottage has central A/C, so we have eternal refuge, if need be.

I love the fashions this year! I must try and stock up. I've already bought two pairs of ballerinas (this is on top of my Flyladyish lace-up shoes wot i also bought). But I haven't yet bought one of those swirly knee-length skirts! I love those!

Oh, the skirts are to die for. Even though I already have three, I must have more. But you can't wear them with FlyLady lace-ups (so you finally gave in, *sigh*) Next on the very cheap shopping list are the ballerinas, although I have a hard time tearing myself away from heels. Pray for me. :-)

I hate heels. Well, I look fantastic in them but I can't walk in them. So I'm going to set them free. I think you can wear those swirly skirts with lace-ups! There are very cute small soft lace-ups, like ballerinas for men. Totally skirtable!!

So maybe there is a compromise! My whole FlyLady failure has probably been based upon my resistance to lace-ups. Will go shopping next week.

Teh problem with teh pictures of teh other Flybabies is that tey all equate lace-ups with trainers / sneakers / pink bubbly sporty numbers with chunky soles. But 'tis not so!!! My favourite is always [livejournal.com profile] freyafloyd who's totally into Flylady but could find no other lace-ups in her house but her knee-high lace-up boots so she dusted in them.

You might try thigh high next, eh?? (And I guess Flylady says nothing about heels so thigh-high bitch-boots with stiletto-heels: it's so totally stepford.)

I DO have a pair of those, but wearing them in this weather would probably do me in. What a sad epitaph that would be: "woman dies of heat exhaustion shining sink while wearing thigh-high bitch boots." But it does sum up my life in a peculiar sort of way. :P

Wear only the boots and nothing else. (It will speed up the 'get dressed to shoes' bit no end!)

And entertain the neighbors! I have a bank of big windows facing the street so my whole front room is visible. I will not be held responsible however, for any car, bicycle or skateboard accidents. :-)
