A very happy birthday to you,
childeproof!
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
All the very and happiest best for the coming year, my dear person whom I very much want to meet in that same year -- I can't believe we haven't yet! May the men keep swooning for you, the porn flowing and the sheelas gaping!
*smooches you silly*

Date: 2005-08-03 02:29 pm (UTC)Thank you! I've not been about at all lately, due to BT being completely unable to make a broadband connection to my blameless flat, and me spending my entire life hissing 'You'll be hearing from my solicitor!' Who is probably on holidays, anyway. Also writing book with agonising slowness, and editing a collection with even more agonising slowness. SOME PEOPLE's prose makes me eyes bleed.
Are you living dangerously and coming to London any time before the beginning of September? Excluding the last week, when I am going to Italy with the Beloved. Have a gorgeous time in the PD.
*envy*

Date: 2005-08-17 01:33 pm (UTC)I would love to see you in Londonistan! Am around most of Sept except for first weekend.
Why do you need BT to give you Broadband? I'm with ntl. They are also problematic but at least I've got the connection.
I am TORTURED about my book. It is proceeding at the pace of a SNAIL. But I won't talk about that here.

Date: 2005-08-17 08:39 pm (UTC)God knows why BT - I think the original idea came from my partner's tech support person, who said they had better after-sales service then some of the other providers, which is bollocks, frankly. Mind you, it now works.
Let's leave the books alone for the present, shall we? My mind is tired.
And - groan - we are going to miss one another yet again in London - I'm either away or madly busy until September 1st, after which I'm mostly back in Ireland, except for weekends (long ones, I hope, depending on when my semester one teaching happens...)
