Here it is, my Marton-fic! I hope you enjoy it.

Title: Past Imperfect
Part: 1/3
Author: Lobelia <lobelia321@aol.com>
Pairing: David Wenham / Marton Csokas
Rating: R
Summary: The second Dave set eyes on the man, he knew who it was. He knew, and he remembered.
Feedback: Yes, please, I would love feedback! Anything, one line, one word even.
Content/Warnings: RPS. Sex with a minor (aged 17). Rough sex (but not gratuitous).
Spoilers: *TTT*, *RotK*. Note to [livejournal.com profile] jenfr I've emailed you a special spoiler-free version!! *g*
Archive Rights: Beyond the Fellowship. My niche. Anyone else, please just ask.
Disclaimers: This is a work of amateur fiction. I do not know these people. I am not making money. The events described in this story did not happen.
Author's Notes: Despite what the warnings may suggest, this story is not about kinky or rough sex. It's not even really about sex but about memory and about how the past connects with the present. 'Tchockie' is my own invention, based on Marton's surname (which, in Hungarian, is pronounced 'Tchockuss'). Thanks so much again to [livejournal.com profile] gabbyhope for her thoughtful and kind beta.
Dedication: This one's for [livejournal.com profile] quiseyes who reminded me of Marton's existence and of my own long-lost Sydney youth.
Visual aids: Drool here.

Sorry, I couldn't get this to upload to stupid LJ so it's a link to my niche. *g* I may try again to upload directly later, if you want. Let me know if link doesn't work.

This is incredible

Lobelia, I read this today on LOTR_RPS. It's just wonderful; so true to life. I love your writing but I think this one has become one of my favourite stories, which is a huge credit to you because I usually don't read non-hobbit pairings. I *loved* this story. I can't emphasise enough how much I loved it. There's just something wonderful and wistful and *real* about it. You're an amazing writer and we're lucky to have you in the fandom.

What Andraste said. *g* I read it today on the List, and whee! Wow. So good. So real. That's what it's all about. Life and layers and all the rest of it. You captured the situation so well. Great work. (Even though I have a faint squick about slashing Aussies, Wenham in particular. Dunno why.) A great story, and I'm very glad I read it.

Well, it's easier to take than arthropods.
No, honestly, I love this, and I really didn't expect to. You are very gentle about the human failings of these guys, and they're so sweet in the way both of them -- but particularly David -- come out of their own heads after spending far too long inside, alone. This is beautiful, sweet, and a story I really needed to read.
Thank you.

splendid! I love how they each have such different impressions of the same evening. And yes, Marton fic a very, very good thing. *g* Very evocative of the time and place. Looking forward to more. :)

This was fan-bloody-tastic. Really. It's just so well written, and evocative, and lovely...

anyway, fb-and-run, as usual, but I'm adding it to my list of fics to FB properly one day.

And now I'm late for work because I *had* to sit and read it to the end and I *had* to tell you I adored it, too.

beautiful

i just realized after writing a brief ode to you in my own journal that i may never have actually told you just how much i love your work before. shameful. :)
your fics are just above and beyond. i love your ability to take character i know and care nothing about and make them into real, three dimensional people. and i love that your stories aren't just about a pairing... aren't just about the hook up or the sex... there always seems to be more going on. especially in this one. this is truly incredible. such a feeling of wistful nostalgia. tension between the past and present...
will stop rambling. but thank you so much for sharing your work with all of us out here.
