I said:

'If you can read this you're clearly overeducated'

so it's a good thing you didn't get more than the gist! Oh, and I stole the quote from a website. My Latin is next to non-existant. But it's a great way to pretend that I'm smarter than I really am.

Well, for all of you I cease to be when I am not here. This is why I don't like it when Friends suddenly go awol.

I don't like it either when friends disappear from lj land. But thankfully none of us is pacman or Max Headroom so we're not doomed to a purely virtual existence - methinks that's quite a good thing :-)

Yes, but this is a good thing for us and those who know our telephone number. But if a Friend on the flist disappears and I don't know her real name or real phone number, this is distressing because she may as well have been wiped from the face of this earth.

You used 'livejournal' as a verb.

Disgraceful.

I have seen this used! As in, 'I am livejournaling right now so go away.' Do you think this is barbaric? Is it not a bit like 'cycle' which is both noun and verb. 'Here is my cycle.' 'I am cycling to work so go away.'

Livecycling!

'Cycle' is standard English, now, though. And I must admit I like 'to Google'. But I hate it when people use 'impact as a verb', as in "this will impact the way we work." ARGH! And on reflection I do not like 'livejournal'.

I'm very picky about my verbs.

I don't mind livejournaling but I also hate 'impacting' (unless it is used in a geological sense). But I do like 'txting', and the way it is transitive, too. And I like 'googling'. Also, I was going to write 'posto, ergo sum' but I thought nobody would understand this and that, possibly, it was lexically incorrect.
