omg, just when I was thinking that the one drawback about fps is the lack of pic drooling, [livejournal.com profile] helenish does it again.

Droolsome pics of McKay backstory

Ah, methinks 'tis the rps heart beating in her ex-popslasher's hot little breast.

*licks blood dribbling off McKay's corner of mouth*

Ooh, yes, I have saved that page for later consumption. :)

Have you read this SGA fandom overview by [livejournal.com profile] thefourthvine? I'm reading it now, on my lunch hour, and it's very funny. Am trying to only laugh inwardly because at work. Contains spoilers, as if you care...

I'm not sure, I'll have to click the link. I've read various bits and things and my mind reeleth with all the new usernames wot i am being constrained to learn and friend and memorise. Ack, I can barely remember my students' names and now this whole new fandom!

P.S. Note sign of being-sucked-in in form of icon.

Oh dear, I know. I must still be in denial, because I have yet to acquire any SGA icons. In fact, I don't seem to have any fandom icons, as such. I'm slightly surprised at how rabidly fic-loving I've suddenly become. It's like 2002 all over again! I felt like death today because I was up all night reading something that's not quite mpreg, and, well, generally being so sucked in and twirled about by the damn thing that afterwards I could neither go to sleep nor construct coherent feedback. Mind you, I'm not sure that a killer hangover and several plates of chinese food didn't contribute to my heightened emotional state.

Wow! Rabid reading a la 2002! I'm not quite there myself but I have certainly reading more fic in the last month than possibly in the entire year before that! SGA seems to be doing that to a lot of people. Why do you think that is? What is it that does our heads in? It cant' be canon because I don't know canon!!

omg, mpreg

*clicks on link*

omg, the mpreg is by [livejournal.com profile] astolat

See, maybe it's because hotdamn writers like her are producing so much in this fandom that it's doing out heads in. The overall quality of the fic is just very high! Don't you find? In lotrips, the overall quality of the fic was rather low, looking back on it; there were hordes of badficcers and teenieslashers and beagle-eaters, and there were the raisins and the jewels by the few whom we all know and love. But in SGA, nearly every thing I click on is very, very good! Why is that?

Actually, I'm in retrospect glad that lotrips was my entry-fandom as the high-quality of other fandoms would have intimidated me and I may never have posted. While in lotrips, you could always say, 'I can do better than this!', and it was true 99 per cent of the time!
