I am so happy today! My colleague taught my session today so I had a bonus gift of three free hours, and I:
- wrote for my academic book, and I am really pleased with it! I wrote some really exciting stuff; I used the terms 'durative' time and 'iterative' time and 'punctiliar' events (I want to swoon over those terms!), and I really liked writing this, and the words flowed out in a semi-sophisticated way
- continued writing and almost finished a fic! After all that angsting over the past few days! I discovered it sitting on my hard drive; I'd started it ten days ago; it's an epilogue / companion piece to my D/D opus and I intend to post it, after having let it sit for a few days (thank you,
ukcalico, for this advice) and perhaps even after having sent it to a beta (radical notion) except my beta is off-line right now, grrr; and I loved writing that, too! I felt all the passion I didn't feel when I was writing yesterday's abortive exercise, and it's got such a beautiful landscape in it (I was poring over an atlas tonight in memory of it), and it makes me feel tingly and nice. And the characters / pairings in it are just too lovely for words! I adore them to bits!
I adore you all! You have all been so generous with your advice and kind words, and I am so moved and thankful for them all, even if some of it I totally ignored and stroppulated about (*looks hang-dog at

Date: 2005-11-29 09:12 pm (UTC)And if you don't read HP, well, I don't know. I guess there is no rule as such that says people have to read what you dedicate so I will dedicate, anyway, and you can look at the wrapped package from the outside without opening, *g*.
Anyway, it's not a real HP. It's a fusion of HP and Earthsea and Tintin in Tibet, and the pairing is, at any rate, Draco/Dudley which is so rare that it is, possibly, unique.
