freyafloyd!!!* * *
I hope you even read this because you haven't been on LJ for months and months but I hope very fervently that this is because your real life is flowing along so swimmingly. Anyway, even if you don't see this: have a wonderful next year!!

Date: 2006-02-02 08:55 pm (UTC)I'm back at university (after all the 'I'm really thick' angst). I am getting distinction level marks; I am very pleased about this.
A very bad thing has happened, but it is going to be alright.
How can we communicate in private? I will find your email address perhaps.
Oh, bollocks, I'll risk my secret identity and tell you the bad thing. Mr Floyd has broken his back. At first it seemed that he wasn't going to walk again but now he can. He has a scar like Orlando's. It is in no way appealing, although Mr Floyd kept taunting me from his hospital bed by quoting slash scenes in which people licked Orlando's scar or commited some form of sexual act on the scar.
I still loathe postmodernism. It makes me want to kill people with a chainsaw.
I have finished 'If on a Winter's Night a Traveller'and it got me down for two days, which was quite shocking as I was feeling quite smug about my state of eternal gnostic joy.
I still think about fota, and Ewan has been saying things which are quite genuine, or so I feel. I am so stuck in the past.

Date: 2006-02-03 01:18 pm (UTC)Private is: my phone (have you got the number? I don't seem to have yours, argh, though I remember phoning you once... or was that in a dream?).
My email: lobelia40@yahoo.com, or even better: lobelia40@gmail.com
Do you ever AIM anymore? I haven't chatted in literally years. But I have a new ibook now and our family has become a hub of world communication. T'son uses MSN; he types in words such as *lol*!!! (omg, I thought those were my words; just as well I don't have daughters or they'd be slashers soon, and that would really freak me out)
I am so pleased to hear that you did go back to uni! And re Winter's Night A Traveller: I couldn't make out from your comment whether you liked it or not. I love it. It is one of my top ten books. I was imprinted with post-modernism in the early 80s and have never quite shaken the bug. Although it is full of pretentious diacritic bullshit as well, I know that.
I am so overjoyed to hear from you! I miss you!!
