Turns out that what I thought were hunger pangs last night were, in fact, the pangs of a horrible stomach bug. I spent all night in bed, tormented by obsessive thoughts and trying not to throw up by doing deep breathing and lying very still on my side.
FlyLady says that even when ill you have to get up so I've put on some sexy clothes to make myself feel better and am tottering through the house on weak legs. I made coffee but I don't think I will drink it.

Date: 2006-02-16 10:24 pm (UTC)The thing is, it is quite nice having t'husband do things for me but I actually love doing them myself! This is what I discovered this morning when I felt better and folded a towel in the laundry. I felt so happy to be able to fold a towel! I'm just a control freak. I need to FOLD MY OWN TOWELS. But wow, grated ginger?! Yogurt, a doctor once told me, was not so good for hurty stomachs, dairy products in general so I only had a Sainsbury fool today. I had: ryvita (about 20 slices) with salami and with honey, boiled rice with steamed vegies and fusilli with tinned corn. Tomorrow I may try some fried stuff!!

grated ginger will work boiled up in black tea too. obviously, you don't *eat* the ginger, just let it swill about a bit. it works as a disinfectant. and i myself would always swear by live yoghurt, especially if you can get stuff from a local farm. when i've been to india i have had lassis for breakfast every day...spent over a month there in total and not been sick.
hope you're feeling better now!
