photoshop techie question

lazlet) won't work with my new ibook, Mac OSX. It says I need the classic environment. I put in the installation disk and it says 'back up all files, install at your own risk'. I got scared.
What do I do? How do I get Photoshop onto my ibook?
Or will I keep having to run upstairs to the loft and the old imac to make icons? Because I am overwhelmed withsophrosyne31's icon bouny.
