Cold, and the light is so bright it hurts my eyes. There is no sun, or rather, the sun is hidden behind layers and layers of opaque cloud, and that makes the eye-hurting worse. I may have to put on sunglasses to stop myself from squinting at the computer monitor!
From my loft window, I can see the aerial close-up, its rusty shaft and encrusted metal horizontals. From one of the spikes hangs a long-severed cable; it moves back and forth slightly, like a shaky pendulum. That's how I know there is a little bit of a breeze.

Date: 2006-03-15 07:05 pm (UTC)Just FYI: Today we have a low gray sky but a lot of light -- in other words, it's not rain weather. It is, however, snow weather -- the wind is gusting, driving the tiny white flakes sideways. Then between gusts the fall nearly straight down, then a gust drives them off again. The snowflakes fall the way schools of fish swim: individuals changing direction mysteriously in concert.
