The bandwagon for this thing is moving too fast for me but I'm jumping on it, anyway, paternoster style:

For breakfast, I had four half-pieces of baguette, each about 7 cm long, with unsalted Lurpak butter, Sainsbury's Quark and Sainsbury's bramble jelly on 3 pieces and unsalted Lurpak butter, Sainsbury's Quark and thick-cut Seville orange marmalade on the fourth. (Aside: a survey shows that the majority of marmalade consumed in the UK is bought by people over the age of 40. I am a statistic!) I also had two cups of black coffee, made from very black and shiny roasted Continental coffee beans.

I can't believe that we are now making breakfast icons.

You are clearly cutting edge!

Although I am not entirely sure this counts as breakfast topic...

Maybe it's the way you're typing that is making it not boring?

Try typing slower and with less enthusiasm.

The wall is white. There is a smudge on it. The plastic is there and here is some more. Papers that should be thrown out.

*falls asleep*

You're right. Slow typing produces slow thinking. I am boring myself to death here.

*laughs* It is a German thing, essentially, that about ten years ago made it to the UK. The supermarkets just adopted the German name for it. In English it is 'curds' but I guess they thought that would put people off... *g* I love. I make cheesecake with it which, in some German regions, is called Quarkcake.

Thank you! It sounds like it would taste very good. I like the name quarkcake.
