Although it's been years since this picture first inspired me and months since I even felt the remotest interest in this man, this is still the one. Melancholy, wistful, fleeting, that beautiful beautiful moment. And the little crease in the corner of his mouth.

I never had this as an icon, or only for about a week or so. But it's always been on my home page and for a long time it was my desktop picture (until Karl's hands were my desktop picture to be replaced by Brad Pitt who is now my desktop picture, ah well). And it inspired the very second Orli I wrote, and the first posted Orli, and it is still my Orli. There is a colour version of this but I've always loved the black-and-white.
