weather gloom
May. 22nd, 2006 02:09 pmThis is England. It is May. It is chucking it down. Long streams of rain, on and off. This morning I walked t'son to school with an umbrella, and t'book I was reading to him got droppled on on the way there, and the fic I was reading got its ink smudged on the way back. Everyone had umbrellas, and whenever it stopped, I slung mine from my wrist.
The branches and twigs and limbs are all waving back and forth erratically. There's a swooshing sounds that turns to a dripple dropple near things like shed roofs or conservatory roofs. Some sort of moss has grown on our asphalt 'patio' and this makes it slippery and yucky to walk on when wet.
The sky: white.
