I am sick to the heart. I cannot say how disgusted I am with the 92 1/2th minute penalty given against Australia. This was so unfair and so unjust. After last night's mockery of a match, now this.

T'h says he's sick of football now; he won't watch any more. I just want to see Italy stomped into the ground by some really humiliating team, ideally Switzerland -- cream them 6:1 and prevent them from diving their way to ill-gotten gains.

I stayed up too late last night as well, image-googling my sweet weeping baby so I'm tired and depleted. I will attempt to rally for Brazil:Ghana tomorrow but I am so very, very sorry that Australia flew out of the competition in this sorry fashion.

*stomps off to have quiet conversation with t'parents and not to watch the stupid next match*

Oh, I was pig-sick. I was on my own and shouted! at the TV. I so wanted Australia to go through and not those diving bastards. Am also still fuming about Figo's head-butt yesterday.

BTW yes am reading txts :)

Oh, bloody Figo's head butting! Unbelievable!! I used to like Figo but no longer! At least my little sweetie baby was out of the melée and I was allowed to see him weeping. My dreams have not been the same.

I've packed my bags and moved over to the [livejournal.com profile] footballslash footballslash comm for the duration. I am so obsessed it's starting to affect my health. And now, after the Australia debacle, I just feel sick, sick and depleted.

I woke up this morning and the city was all quiet and I went, "oh. That's not good." So I asked the Male how it went, and he said, "It will be talked of for EVER," and explained.

BAH.

Still. I think we done good, for our first time and all. We proved we deserved to be there, and that's a big thing for us. Now just give us ten years. We win everything, haven't you heard? We're Australia. *G*

Spain/France nigh did me in. This whole World Cup will be the death of me. France played beautifully, and it was a boon, at this stage of the proceedings, to see a game with no injuries, send-offs, fouls or insane refereeing decisions. But I so wanted Spain to win!!!!! It was wrenching.
