the obsession continues (plus hunk pics)
Jul. 2nd, 2006 01:56 pmI woke up in a state of high agitation, with England, Portugal, Brazil and France all mingling in my befuddled brain, plus a goodly dollop of Germany and Italy in the mix as well.
I then spent an hour with my sister discussing our several agitations and screaming excitedly down the phone about it all. Thus do siblings bond.
I then lay out on a recliner in the gorgeous hot day, with the wind chimes chiming and a hot wind ruffling the trees and my feet in the blistering sun but my body in the balmy shade, and I just blissed out. I lugged the ibook out there, too, and finished typing up my Cristiano Ronaldo/Kaká fic and printed it out for revisions. 16 pages of lusciousness! But baaah, we're not going to see Kaká again, and it's only just sinking in.
I cannot believe that Brazil is out. But it would have been a crime if they had beaten France yesterday. France was just too amazingly good.
Then, my obsession knowing no bounds, and certainly none of a linguistic nature, I proceeded to read the Jornal da Madeira because my pretty boy comes from Madeira and Portuguese, hey, it's a cinch.
T'h has been teaching himself Portuguese, actually. We have loads of CDs and books lying around. I am contemplating a future holiday there. *yes, brain is fried*
And then I discovered a German website for women who drool over football!!! Wheee! And on this website, there were a bunch of . pics of Cristiano Ronaldo as a hunk.
Well, first some more pics of my weepie baby:

And now for the hunk pics:

Also, some merchandise:

I am so pleased to note that my fandoms have generally managed to provide me with all manner of Lego dolls or bendy Legolas puppets, and football is no exception!

Date: 2006-07-02 03:50 pm (UTC)Okay, okay... God, these modelling pics. I mean, I know them but still...
And yes, weeping Cristiano. We can't help it, he's just too pretty. Although in the very first pic it's the referee who looks close to tears. Well, it was a nightmarish game so that understandable. And when a pretty, young thing cries in front of you... :)
But Cristiano - and there my mind goes diving straight into the gutter, I just can't help it - he actually doesn't look too distraught. Where exactly is the hand of that guy anyway and why is he looking straight into the camera? Is he molesting Cristiano right on the pitch??? :-P

Date: 2006-07-02 09:38 pm (UTC)And you are so right about the physio's hand!!! *stares*
I am so absurdly smitten with C.Ronaldo it is getting to be a health risk. And I've even now found some happy!Cristiano pics (on that kerfuffle football comm). I feel I need them now and who knows how long they will be valid??? I daren't even think of Wednesday; it is too agitating.
Happy!Cristiano looks lovely and gorgeous but in my wibbling mind nothing, but nothing, beats a weeping!Cristiano. Beckham cried, but what a pale imitation!! I'm afraid when it comes to the tears, nobody does it better.
I have since found the vid of the ad that these hunk pics are taken from; I've linked it in a post and I'm telling you: You will implode. That vid should carry a health warning.

Date: 2006-07-02 09:57 pm (UTC)LOL. You do know that you're the tiniest bit twisted, don't you? :) Says the one who watched the match Portugal vs. England like two times already. What? There was nothing else watch-worthy on tv today! Really!
Talk about twistet - I say the match Portugal vs. Netherlands got so out of hand because the Portugese players were out to defend poor Cristianos ... erh, honour or whatever. I mean, that damn player really hurt the poor boy - man! (feeling like a craddle robber here) And if even the referee can't bear to see Cristiano cry prettily how hard (erh) has that got to be for his team mates?

Date: 2006-07-02 04:16 pm (UTC)Crying Ronnie wins at everything. EVERYTHING. Have you read his Wiki entry? They talk about how emotional he was as a child and how he'd cry after losses, even at 10! He's so precious. ♥ him.
I'm so excited to read your story.

Date: 2006-07-02 09:41 pm (UTC)Now I need to see pics of Cristianonino when he was ten. And crying.
I still cannot believe that Brazil is going home. But I'm afraid that yes, they deserved to lose. What happened to them??
You are so sweet to care about my story; it keeps me going, you know, that you want to read it! I will post it tomorrow, promise!!

Date: 2006-07-02 10:13 pm (UTC)Oh, here is some recent Kaka speaking!
Of course I care. I'm a fanfic h0r :0) I think it's because when I came into the LotR fandom, there was already 3+ years of fics to catch up on- I still haven't read everything. With this fandom, I feel as if I've already read the ten fics there are out there.
Plus: Kaka AND Ronnie in one fic...doing stuff with each other. Yes, please.
