weather hot
Jul. 17th, 2006 01:00 pmThese are unbroken days of sunshine. The colour of the sky is a hazy blue; not a cloud mars its expanse. It is so hot that my feet will uncomfortable in their lace-up trainers. In the car, the safety belt causes sweat stains to appear on my T-shirt but today I am wearing a strappy top which affords better ventilation.
The air is quite still. I have all the windows open but no paper flaps. The sun feels hot on skin; I am become quite brown (but not on my torso which remains white). This is immersive weather; my previous cold-weather posts have been much more visual; this is weather which one feels.
Driving, it is often quite dazzling and visibility is bad. Thoughts are sluggish; I tend to want to loll.
