Power puff clouds march across the low sky in elephantine procession. They are big, like piles of whipped cream or solid-looking fairy floss. They are bright white, with pale attached shadows. Their excrescences foam up like broccoli.

It is warm enough to sit outside, and the sun burns hot on skin, but the diurnal rhythm is autumnal: in the morning, the grass is wet with dew; the sun sets early and casts a long shadow on the garden. The light is more slanted: summer wanes.

Oh, that just brings back wonderful memories when as a child, I would just lie on the grass and stare at the clouds. *is nostalgic* I love how the first paragraph is so idyllic, yet the second one describes the change of time. Oh dear, summer really is over now...The snowstorms are going to start any moment now...

And I just had to squee at your icon. TINTIN!!!

Thank you! :-) I do loads of these. Started them earlier this year, to train myself to write descriptive prose and to accumulate background weathers to use in future fics.
