testing embedding youtube

I have been mystified by how all these people manage to embed youtube movies into their LJ posts. I think I may have cracked it by looking at somebody's page source code. And (duh) realising that youtube gives you the actual code to paste in.

So here is my test embedment: The Kiss from Century Hotel. David Hewlett kisses some other man of no interest beyond the fact that he's a MAN and there's a KISS. Also, you see the BUM (note icon).

The KISS happens towards the end, as does
The BUM in all its glory (being slapped! and not wobbling!).

However, hm, this movie seems to be crappy and not play properly. Never mind, it still serves as an embedment test.

ETA: Hurrah! It worked! I meant to paste the code in here cos it's liek roolly sexy but I've forgotten the angle bracket wot u type in to avoid the code simply coding and well, appearing. Can anyone remember? I think isiscolo posted it...?

Do you know I sometimes spool forwards to that KISS just before I go to sleep for a little late-night cheer-me-up? Heh, it's better than gin and tonic. Almost. *g*

It played beautifully (*G*) for me but I couldn't turn the volume up so I missed some of the significant(?) conversation.
