Bollywood love

And in case you were wondering what I've been obsessed with lately: 'tis Bollywood. I bought Kabhi alvida na kehna last week, and then I got an ipod for my birthday (ipod! I love you!) and put loads of Bollywood songs onto it, and then I discovered Bollywood mania on youtube, and then I taught it to my students, and then I couldn't stop myself purchasing more Bollywood DVDs online... so it's been an immersion!!

Amitabh Bachchan and co in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, and omg, I met Amitabh Bachchan. He's the very cool old guy with the sexy deep voice, and it's him singing, too (no lipsynching for AB in this clip). This is 'Say Shava Shava'.

Also the video - what movie is that? Because I know that I know it. But I can't remember title or storyline and it's driving me crazy. Damn it!

Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, directed by Karan Johar. Shahrukh Khan marries Kajol against his father's wishes and is driven out of the family home to be reunited with his now-grown-up baby brother, hunk Hrithik Roshan, ten years later in London. It is a gorgeous movie! Even t'h liked it, and he is as Bollywood-resistant as he is football-resistant which is about 65 percent resistant.

I think I remember it now. Yes. And now I so want to watch a Bollywood movie. Hmm, maybe they will show one on weekend. Tomorrow evening I have to watch the Cristianochen anyway. If he's going to play. I'm already so excited-anxious, it's not funny anymore.

This is so cruel. England plays tonight and, of course, when England plays that is all you see on English terrestrial TV. But then I guess I get to see Cristianochen playing for Man U but he is just so much more gorgeous even in the Portuguese kit! And surrounded by those other Portuguese!! *breathless*

The game ended just about 15 minutes ago and - as memororis put it - was The Love. Cristiano scored a truly beautiful goal. Simao scored twice. Only Nuno Gomes of the MOst Sexy Lips Ever tried his little heart out and missed time and again. Still 3:0 and they so needed those 3 points. Yay!

Oh but I also love Shahrukh Khan. Amitabh Bachchan is in another league; nobody can touch him; he can't even be measured by the droolyardstick I use to measure SRK, Brad Pitt and co. T'h said at one point during 'Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna': "Amitabh Bachchan is not human! He is an avatar of Vishnu!" And I yelled, "Omg, so he is! Like Krishna! Peel off his skin and he'll be blue!"

SRK is human and a dish. *grins* And Kajol is The Most Beautiful Woman on Earth.

Nope, Sharukh Khan doesn't really do it for me. It may just be the 'khan' because I can't help to be reminded of Mongolian kings and princes and what not. It irritates me.
