I just deleted a post by accident

Okay, I just did a horrible thing.

I deleted my fic 'Tao of Rodney' by mistake, including all the lovely feedback left on it (this was over 23 comments!).

What do I do? My skin is running hot and cold. This post is really important to me, including all the comments. The comments made me so happy, and I didn't keep a copy.

I blame this horrible new update journal format, argh!

Does anyone know what to do? Has this happened to anyone? Will the FAQ help?

I am rigid with shock. I don't know what to do. I feel like crying.

ETA: The wonderful lazlet just pointed out that the comments will still be in my email inbox. I never check my email and had totally forgotten about that! Duh and double-duh but this is so glad-making!

Do you not get comments emailed to you? Sadly, I don't think you can undelete posts so I think it's gone forever. :(

Lazlet! I love you! omg, I had completely forgotten that comments get emailed to me. *bashes head against door* Duh, and double-duh! I never check my email, you say. But yay! Hooray! I can retrieve all those lovely comments!

No, they were all immediately deleted in an avalanche of doom. But as lazlet pointed out: they will be in my email, of course! I had completely forgotten about that!
