Eh, sounds like a fandom anthropologist could write a thesis or two about that. Hm. But isn't it funny that I first read/found Kara and you through the Great LotR Infection, and we all somehow migrated to Stargate Atlantis, with detours of the HP fandom? Mine before LotR, yours after, Kara's after SGA.

I wish I could send you more Lakritz! If I wasn't living in a Lakritz-bare country now, you'd get some new post-haste.
