OK, I admit I don't understand how this works... when I first saw your post on my friends page, the banner had my name and icons. Did you do that? (and now it shows yours)
Anyway, thanks, if you entered my name. *g* It was such a trip to first notice the Hilary Swank icon, then the others... that all looked so familiar, and finally seeing my name. I'm posting it to share too.
This will be a bit of "the blind leading the blind," but here are my observations.
If you enter an lj user name in the box and hit Submit Query, a new page opens with that person's generated icon banner and a box with the html code to cut and paste. I posted two for friends in my journal that I had got this way.
However, there is something to do with refreshing the page or maybe that the program somehow grabs the name from your login, which is probably why I saw my own banner when your post come up on my friends page. Afer I posted a comment to yours (on which page I saw your banner) and went back to my friends page, I didn't see my banner anymore, but yours.
