This morning I wrote an SGA fic. April Bingham/Rodney McKay. It's for the dating challenge on [livejournal.com profile] sga_flashfic. It's 6,300 words.

Would any kind soul be up for a flash beta? The thing is I need to post this fic tonight (i.e. within the next 3 hours) because I'm out of town tomorrow and the deadline for the challenge is tomorrow at midnight. (And I don't know what timezone 'Eastern Standard' refers to; midnight there could be noon here!)

I would be so grateful. Thank you!! :-)

ETA: [livejournal.com profile] thejennabides just pointed out that the World Clock gives me all times, and they even identify the names of time zones but there are two 'Eastern Standard' time zones: one in North America and one in Australia. Which one is the one relevant for [livejournal.com profile] sga_flashfic??

More ETA: The question is now moot! I went and posted beta-less. *g*

I can't help with a beta, but if you ever in doubt about time zones, the World Clock should be able to help you out. Eastern Standard (key city usually used is New York) is five hours behind you, I believe.

Thank you. The thing about the world clock is it gives cities but doesn't say what time zone these cities belong to (I think), so thanks for the New York tip!

As far as I know - if you email the moderators for a short extension, they'll give it to you. The times aren't particularly exact anyway :)

I wouldn't worry too much, just email the mods to make sure that you end up having that time.

Heh, no one is ever referring to Australian EST. Not even me, and I live in it. (I'll always use "Aust EST" and usually qualify with "GMT +10".) They mean American. One can usually assume that Americans assume everyone knows what they're talking about. (And I say this with great love... *G*)

I'd love to help you, but I know naught about SGA. But I back up the email suggestion - drop them a line and ask for a little bit more time if necessary. It shouldn't be a problem, surely.

Honey, this is kind of why I asked this. I also posted a comment in the comm, asking for clarification (knowing full well that they mean America but just wanting to remind them that, you know, there's a world out there, *g*).
