Went to bed at 2 am because of friend's 60th birthday party. Got up and took t'h as a guest to my newly-acquired gym. Worked out for 2 1/2 hours. Staggered home. Prepared teaching for one module for 5 hours. Stares at pile on desk: still one more module to prepare for tomorrow.

Also: why is chick lit so crap if it's not written by Sophie KInsella? More on this anon.

Most chicklit is crap because 90% of everything is crap (Sturgeon's Law). At one point, Lotrips defied the law but now it's in force again.

(I've been finishing slides all day today, it sucks.)

That's so funny that Lotrips defied this law! But you're right, this is too true. SGA defied this, too, at one point. So did HP. Hm, is there a pattern? Is this the enthusiastic newbie who finds everything big and shiny?

What does finishing slides involve?

Oooh, Sophie Kinsella.

I am teaching one year olds which should be easy, but since they cannot hold their attention for more than 5 minutes I have to come up with many things to keep them (& myself) entertained throughout the day. Though, I cannot imagine having to prepare a module.

Btw, did you ever go through with the accounting thing? I must confess I have stopped.

One-year-olds?? What do they need to be *taught*? *boggles*

I don't teach myself accounting any more (I'm amazed you remember! wow) but I am now treasurer of the Parents and Friends association at my son's school (!!!) and have to keep the books and do double-entry book keeping (at least I think that's what it's called) and write an annual financial report (!) and I've also bought a book to do my home accounts in the same way.

So I'm applying it!!!! *falls over*

LOL, right? They don't even like to pay attention but um, my "teaching" consists of reading stories to them, singing songs to them, and encouraging them to interact with each other through games. And because I love art, I'm introducing them to different kinds of mediums (paint, charcoal, pastel, etc.).

But out of the 3 hours I have to "teach" them, they only have to endue my lessons for less than a hour and I let them run around the rest of time. ^_^

I have a weird memory, things pop up randomly. I forgot I was studying accounting... It's an awesome thing that you're applying accounting. It's not the easiest thing, but once you get the concept you realize that paying someone to do it for you is not only overpriced but you've been giving someone privy to your private info.
