I've signed up to nano
Nov. 1st, 2007 08:26 pmI couldn't resist. I've had my novel writing kit for months, still in its cellophane wrapper. I wanted to unwrap it so much! And it's the first of November, novel writing month start, so I unwrapped it at breakfast and whooped with glee and excitement. How can I miss out?
So I started. I took my laptop to the gradpad and began typing. Oh, it's such fun! It makes me so happy!
I'm reading the one-a-day card, and my children just signed the noveling affidavit. Fun, fun, fun on the autobun.

Hallo, fellow nanos, where r u????
P.S. My son just designed the cover for my novel. Hoho.

Date: 2007-11-01 08:38 pm (UTC)I woke up very early this morning and sat in front of my laptop... and nothing.
So, I decided to try writing by hand... and nothing.
It's only the first day and I'm ready to give up :(
I should have bought a novel-writing kit. Just 1,667. I have to remember that. 1,667 and they don't need to be good.

Date: 2007-11-01 08:42 pm (UTC)I'm not doing nanowrimo, because I'm not actually writing a novel: I'm writing a popsci book, which (god help me) is due December 1.
Tell me what's in the kit?

Date: 2007-11-01 10:28 pm (UTC)Kit: one badge for the Winner
one wallchart for charting word progress per day and week
gold stars to stick on the chart (yes111111)
four stickers to wear that say 'Ask me about my novel'
a noveling pledge, tied up in a scroll with a pale blue ribbon
31 cards, one to be read each day
a booklet!
and it all comes in a look-alike book, like those books that conceal whiskey bottles.
I LOVE IT.
