It is my pleasure to inform you that Past Imperfect has been nominated for a Men of Middle Earth Award. The MOME Awards are meant to recognize the best of each pairing in RPS and FPS for drabbles, ficlets, and short and long fiction; you can find more information about the awards at http://community.livejournal.com/mome_awards/profile. This round we are honoring the Classics (stories completed before 2006) and FPS stories completed between July 1, 2006 and June 30, 2007.
I am writing to get your approval to include your work on the full list of nominations and on the final ballot which will be compiled and posted this week. I hope to be able to post the ballot on Friday, so if you could let me know if we have your permission to be included that would be great.
Voting will be open as soon as the ballots are completed and run through January 26; winners will be announced January 31. To acknowledge the accomplishments of the authors, all nominated stories will be posted in February.
I'm very excited about how many different pairings are up for awards and at the level of support the program has received. I hope you will agree to be part of the awards program. If you have any questions, please let me know.
