Having been out of it for so long and lost all interest in the pretty and the not-so-pretty, I now need to know:

Which episodes of series 4 of SGA should I watch????

Which ones are the squeeworthiest?

And which ones feature yummy wraith???

*waits in hope*

I'm watching them incredibly slowwwly, but I recently watched and enjoyed 'Doppelganger' which I think is episode 4. Not so much with the yummy wraith though, sorry.

Okay, good. *makes note*

Also, Dr Who, Ecclestone doctor, the episode that introduces Cpt Jack. I never saw this. Any idea where I might procure an episode? *coughs* *feel free to reply in form of a flocked post* I feel a sudden Cpt Jack love after having watched Kiss Kiss Bang Bang today.

There are almost no bad eps this season and several hugely squeeworthy ones...if you have my taste, which you don't :D

But there are also really great working with the wraith ones, which you may totally enjoy, namely 408-412, which all feature wraith plots or subplots... (esp 411 and 412, which were great)

My favorites, however, were the other ones, like Doppelganger (404) and Tabula Rasa (406)

Great! Thank you! *makes careful notes of all of the above*

Does this mean I may have to watch the lot of them?? This happened with SGA 1 and 2! I inserted the DVD with sceptical caution (and only out of politeness to [livejournal.com profile] sheldrake's kind gift, only to emerge 20 hours later in a daze of addiction and abject craving.

Ack!!

However, right now I could really do with some abject craving. It's the first thing that went with the tranquilisers... :-)

Wow. Fanon bleeds into canon! Yes, I will love it. *clutches self*

I've been thinking about your point about ex-fanboy turned ptb (Russell T. Davies) because I watched Kiss Kiss Bang Bang today, a Torchwood episode not written by him but still. The whole Torchwood enterprise is, actually, very savvy about fannishness (that vampire slayer actor in there! so meta!) so I'm seeing your point now about the disavowal being a bit different in this case from the usual canon/fanon divide. It's quite interesting, and interesting how even such an already fanboyish and already queered text can nevertheless still generate yet more subversive fanfic twistings. Is this an endless chain of subversion - subversion -subversion? *feels lost in a Derridean sea*

This is a really good season overall and a number of eps have big wraith presence.

Do you want me to shove them all on a disc and post it to you? I have everything so far and am happy to do that. :)

Ooh. Now there's a thought. I was going to watch them the, *cougs*, usual way.

But you know: that would make me really happy! Thank you!!! :-)

Well, this is the *coughs* usual way but will mean you don;t have to spent time and effort getting them the *coughs* usual way yourself. ;)

I shall indeed burn them on to a DVD and post them to you. :)

Thank you! You are a darling! Being impatient, I am in the process of *cough-coughing* but it does take an awfully long time, and now and again it crashes and whatnot.

Whee! I love parcels in the mail!
