'tis 21:40. Do I go to bed and watch some SGA on my laptop? Do I type up some more Philbert? Do I read fic that I del.ici.oused yesterday? Do I read Margery Allingham whose characters say things like: I say, that reflects on us rather badly, Farquharson?

I am suddenly despondent about Ichor, my wraith fic. Perhaps it is that I've finished it, and that the rush of the penultimate draft was so heady and trance-like that I'm having a come-down. Now it's time to tinker even more and I'm feeling a bit tired. Do I leave it for a few days? I am now seeing flaws in it, and I have a hunch how to fix some of them (kill the darlings! oh no...!) and no hunch at all how to fix others. There's a central flaw that I didn't even see myself, and now I'm stuck with it. Do I brazen it all? Or do I think and think and think how to fix it?

Or do I watch SGA on my laptop?

Also, how do I force two disparately-sized heads into a compatible format on Photoshop so that two heads of two men can look at each other and seem normal?

Eeee Wraith fic.

To my embarrassment I have not read you in a while, are you up to the latest in Todd?

Well, Todd is not in my wraith fic because that was started two years ago, *stabs self* but I have seen the first few series 4 episodes and have seen Todd! But he is not even one of my favourites. I love unnamed wraith in 'Condemned' (foodie!wraith!) and unnamed wraith in 'Reunion', with fairyfloss hair, like a walking Q-tip, ooh yeah.

Hello, Shusu!!!

Heeee! Fairyfloss hair, that is an apt description. I am sadly just another Todd fan-girl. I could say I'm a sucker for caught-between-culture fellows, but mostly he has a charming sense of humor and caresses ZPMs. *is shallow!*

I do kind of like the drone/warriors, now that I know how they're made, which was pretty close to my (woefully stagnant) Poseidon's Children version (mostly here and Chapter 5).

Oh. How drones are made! What episode is that??? *stares hungrily*

Lookee, icon! I've had that for ages! It's Todd before he was Todd!! He is a sexy bugger, actually. And those prison scenes... *growls* BDSM in canon!!

Oh, and linkage!! Yes! Hm, how come I've not read Poseidon's Children?? I subscribe to 'wraith' on del.ici.ous but this one has escaped my trawling net. *drools off in the general direction of Poseidon*

Because it's the WIP that ate my life last year. And is still WIPy, sadly. Enjoy :)

Drone birthing is in full color explicit ickyness in... Spoils of War, I want to say. That was a fantastic Wraithy episode.

Ooh, that would be 4.12. I'm not up to that yet! *looks forward*

I am so totally a goner on the wraith at the moment. As soon as I see that first swishy leather coat, I go all ... funny.

fashion!

I completely adore that those leather coats must be made of human. I know, I'm awful! But why else would they choose leather? Wouldn't it be dessicated anyway? It saves steps. It's biological, which they're so into. And they are so fashion-forward, and the hierarchy, only the top wraith get to dress up.

I'm so sorry I haven't got the beta back to you yet, I was going to do it tonight and then I remembered I had tickets to a comedy thing. Soon, soon, there will be commentage, I promise!!

But, my bad planning apart, I would advise going away and doing other things for a while, if you're feeling despondent. I often feel like that after I've finished things -- I almost didn't post the last one because I just couldn't bear the sight of it any more (seemed to go down ok though). Anyway, it's always good to let a story rest a bit, I reckon.

This story has rested on and off for two years (111 ack) so I guess it can rest a little longer. *g* Thanks for thinking about doing the beta, heh, but there is really no urgent hurry. Comedy thing! You weren't in King's Lynn, were you? For Just A Minute???????

Sadly not, thought I did listen to it in the normal way. :) I went to see Omid Djalili down the road at the Regent.
