Mar. 7th, 2008 12:19 amP.S. Last week I was reading a Mills & Boon / Harlequin sheikh romance The Sultans' Ransom, and immediately wrote my own tongue-up-someone's-arse version.
This week I'm reading Proust's Swann's Way. Is this spoofable? Can I write Proust!SGA? Has anyone else done this??
I've never read Proust for more than ten pages but I've read a lot about him (Gérard Genette, my narratological hero, does drool all over Marcel Proust) so I do know that there are slashy moments in Proust, and that Proust was teh queer, and that draws me in, yes.
I'll keep you posted on how it goes. Who, in the SGAverse, would be the Marcel?
