Well, it's about 10 hours since I've first heard of this soap, never mind that I've consummed vast numbers of clips on You Tube since then. So I'm not an expert.
BUT, I wouldn't mind seeing my fave pair Shep as Christian and Rodney as Oliver. Or vice versa.

I think it's almost a bit like RPF because their whole life is canon and we are just watching this one particular storyline. Which totally works! Except there are sometimes these flashes of "Jana is dead!" or "The powdered milk was spoiled!" that hint at *other* things that might be going, things (and people) we are not aware of because we don't watch their and their friends' life, we just watch the Oliver/Christian story. \o/

I'm up to...uh... Christian broke up with Coco because he couldn't stop thinking about kissing Oliver and he finds help on a gay website where he chats with this guy (Who happens to be Oliver! OMG! They don't know!) and he can tell him everything (Which is what brought Christian and Oliver in real life together too! Christian even told Oliver why he was in prison. The whole campfire scene... ♥). Right now Christian saw Oliver naked in the shower and he is all flustered and, and, and... *swoons*

The experience of watching only the filleted C&O is very bizarre, lurching in and out of these disconnected and repetitious scenes. Where people die inexplicably or become drug addicts but we don't know why.

Also, I just watched several eps about Roman / Deniz. Quite absurd. But addictive, nonetheless. It seems to want to be more 'hard-hitting' than Verbotene Liebe. Hard-hitting meaning: we see blood! Hooded thugs with batons! Swish pans and fast zooms! And mention of erections.

Gaytime who owns the blog is a guy. A German who moved to the US and now lives there. Ivan who uploads the videos is a guy and British I think. Nenna who does the subtitles is female and German. soapfan00038 who also uploads clips as ChristianandOliver I don't know, but I'm guessing they might be Dutch.

I first had to finish Verbotene Liebe boys before I could possibly even contemplate other soaps. And that took an entire day!!! *iz ded*

I think Deniz/Roman has at the moment fewer summery video clips because the person who did them did a lot tigther editing. I know there is somebody trying to work their way up from the time when Deniz joined the show but I don't think that they are very far yet. However, the RTL official website lets you watch every single episode though if you really get addicted... LOL.

That said, Deniz is totally on my shitlist because he cheated on Roman with his (Deniz's) female best friend and told her that he was in love with her and only stayed with Deniz out of pity. Diediediediedie.

It's possible that they'll get together again in the future but, yeah, at the moment I'm really pissed at Deniz. However, their story is still worth watching. It's a lot less straightforward soapy than VL. I mean, it's still soapy and emotional, just not as simplistic with their clichees (so no mixed up chat partner identities and stuff like that).

I just watched that clip without the sound off and I'm not sure who's who. The one who doesn't want to be guy, is that Roman? And why does this clip include no boy/boy action? The clip makes it look as they are still very much in the denial stage.

Points for: hot getting out of the water together action; smoking looks across the pool; very pretty faces; nice touch with putting the towel on groin.

Points against: not enough kissing and fondling; Adidas bathing sandals; excessive hamminess and slapstick moments when he then runs away with the towel in front of his crotch and when the two anti-gay dudes 'catch' them with 'lube' (silly!)

I have faith that he will, and the writer's have suggested as such. And hopefully there will some more beautiful angst in his future as he realizes his mistake. The angst is hot, not as hot as Deniz and Roman making out but a close second.
Until then I kind of enjoy the little diva act of Roman's as he reminds Deniz at every turn just what he gave up; and how Deniz can't help but react.

Just watched this clip and yes, there is smoking hotness, especially when they both arise from the water together and the LOOKS across the pool.

However, then it all gets too slapsticky and hammed up when they are discovered in the shower room with the 'lube' and when the one guy runs off with the towel across his groin. I mean, it was a nice sexy touch showing him putting the towel there but then it gets hammered home too excessively. Also: the Adidas bathing sandals, argh.

But they are very pretty. However, they need to kiss more. *g*

Keep on watching. Lack of kissing is definitly not their problem. Like I said, the issue isn't that they have progressed enough in their relationship, but that they have already broken up again (and Roman is sorta stalking Deniz now; well, not really stalking, but just yelling at him every time they meet; he needs a Timo).

Plus this show does the angst better then 'Verbotene Liebe', and I do love a beautiful man going through angst.
Yes, the lube scene is slightly slapstick, but if you keep watching it can be quite touching, and I think it is acted better as a general rule.
