Have been off-soap-boys line for a couple of days because of visit from old friend and kerfuffle at work.



Remember all the grief caused by my crap institution over the past year? Well, on Friday an impromptu sudden meeting was called, and it was decided that I should be moved from Art to Film Studies.

So I'll not be teaching my own subject, history and theory of art, any longer but moving over full-time to the department wherein resides Film Studies.

I am very sorry to lose my art teaching. I am not sorry to lose my incompetent so-called managers and completely shambolic mis-administration. On the whole, I'm happy and hope that my situation will now be a bit more settled.

Come to think of it: I bet my obsessive all-night soap-boy watching on Friday night was no doubt a kind of delayed reaction to this work-related news.

Sounds definetly like good news. They can't be less competent in your new department and if I remember correctly, you taught more film than 'tradintional' arts in the last semesters anyway, right? So whoot!!

But did you catch the newest 'episode' of the pretty boys? We were cheated off a hot shower scene. *pouts*

Yes, absolutely, you are right. They cannot possibly be less competent and I am already in shock because I know my timetable six months in advance (as opposed to 5 weeks into the semester, as has been the case...)
