Tom/Olli 2003.
Apr. 13th, 2008 11:50 pmProps in Verbotene Liebe, part 2.
Wherein one finds baby!Olli with his previous boyfriend, manly hunk Tom. This is their first kiss, symbolised by a stag in the woods!
Yes, it is as you feared: ein röhrender Hirsch im Schlafzimmer.
Olli looking young and surprisingly sweet-cheeked.
The camera zooms away and hides outside the window, behind streaming rain. Through the blurry downpour, we discern the pale shapes of Olli and Tom kissing. Note the hand-on-face gesture, obligatory for soap kisses.
Barely discernible but behind the blue bar of the window frame, we can just about make out the shapes of Olli and Tom sinking onto the bed. Note the picture on the wall!!!!
The camera then zooms in onto a close-up of the picture. It is the röhrende Hirsch!!!!
How Freudian of them!! Not 'fade to black' but 'fade to stag'. It is a new cinematographic technique.
The entire clip is to be admired here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FhNI9M4SCCY
(The stag is at 5:12.)
Have the original stag. Edwin Landseer, Monarch of the Glen, 1851.
Very virile.
