Speaking of whom (and this time we are speaking of him! I just know we are!): how many of his films post-Lotr have you seen? And which ones are worth him?
I've only seen Bourne, and I liked him in that! But I never saw that haunted ship one. Oh, I did see XXX -- wasn't he in that? God, how I hated that film but I abased myself just for those brief glimpses.
No, what am I saying?? That was Marton!! How could I forget the guh-ness of Marton? Wasn't Marton also in a Mission Impossible?
My head is spinning now. You're better at this genre movie stuff than I am. Enlighten me!
*grins* Honey, I've been following Karl (and Marton, for that matter) since Hercules & Xena. So I have seen EVERY SINGLE one of his bad movies. *facepalm* Um, the only Karl ones that I think are really any good, post-LOTR, are The Bourne Supremacy, Out of the Blue (which is a New Zealand film he did that won quite a few NZ awards), and Pathfinder (but only because he's mostly naked in it - it's a BAD film, but my God, he's hot like burning). *g*
Marton was also in The Bourne Supremacy with Karl. And in xXx. Neither were in Mission Impossible.
omg, that's right, Marton had sex tussled with Matt in that movie! That was implodable. Totally implodable.
Hm, where did I get the Mission Impossible vision from? I must have been hallucinating, trying to impart interest to that film (I think it was number 2).
Okay, Pathfinder. Out of the Blue. They are earmarked.
I am now, of course, teaching Film Studies, so these may have to be ordered for, *cough*, educational purposes.
How lovely of you to respond! I have been thinking of continuing this for years and feel bad that I haven't. Mainly because I'd really like to read it myself. I know more or less the whole story and can't believe that it's not out there, black on white. But I am also intimidated, because it's been on the backburner for so long.
