The shrubs went a strange sepia colour. The sky was greyish yellow. All of a sudden, hail started coming down. Round, white and hard, the shape of small dice, the hail ricocheted on window sills and concrete patio. On the loft velux windows, it made a rattling prattling sound.

"Oh, weird," everyone said. "What time is it even?" The clocks changed only two days ago.
