seismic honeymoon
Nov. 9th, 2008 09:19 pmToday I bought Barack Obama's book The Audacity of Hope. It's the first book by a politician that I've ever read. I've never been interested in the literary output of politicians. It's really, really interesting to read. I'm not getting all of the references (e.g. what is GOP? T'h says, Grand Old Party = Republicans. I hadn't known that) but the insights into the day-to-day workings of government are very fascinating to me. This book was written before he ran for president and knowing how the story continues casts this amazing glow over the whole thing.
Anyway, I'm already on page 74. What a fangirl I've turned into. But if you can't vote for the man, buy the man's book, right?
