well... i could help you choose. um. there's about 30 issues of an adorable series called 'Blue Beetle' starring this Mexican-American kid called Jaime Reyes and his awesome supporting non-superhero cast. ok, yes, it's superhero, but very very easy to get into, even love.

there is also 'Lucifer'. i don't know how familiar you are with Neil Gaiman's 'Sandman' series, it's also fascinating. those are under the Vertigo imprint.

Band of Brothers! It's been around for a while, but it's still pretty active. New people coming in all the time, too.

It's got flocks of actors of all shapes and sizes, there's the miniseries but also books and pictures and history. There's slash and gen and au and meta. I'm really excited about it at the moment, can you tell :)

I just got into Watchmen fandom. It's small right now, but things are gonna explode when the fantastically-beautiful feature film is released in March 2009. Lots of slash, het and femmeslash possibilities. Rorshach is the new Snape. :)

I don't think I've ever read any SPN (that's Supernatural, right?), hm, but it's a thought. Because it sounds, well, supernatural, so sort of HPish, with non-scientific goings on. Castiel? Is that liek a fifth archangel???
