Today I bought [livejournal.com profile] mistful / mistful / Maya's book!

I am so proud to know a slash goddess who has published a novel!

I lover her slash stories (love how they write "some stories" in the amazon text - muah) but this? The writing is so not drawing me in which is strange because I lover her writing in fandom stuff. But okay, also the fantasy genre is so not mine. STill much yay for the publishing!

So you bought it? I would have bought it come what may because I want to support here with my money. I am totally not a fantasy fan but hey! Most of fandom seems to be very into fantasy.

Admittedly, I did not. She posted the first bit on her journal (and you can read a bit of the book on amazon) and just - it's so weird that the style seems so different. On the other hand, my fanwriting is also drastically different to my attempts at writing non-fanish fiction.

Most of fandom seems to be very into fantasy.
Absolutely.

I've started reading it and may see what you mean but I'll keep updating.

You do that. Might just be that it takes th ebook a few pages to gain momentum afterall. God, I have become so bitchy when it comes to writing styles....
