Does anyone still chat? And if so, what platforms are you using? MSN? aol?

Or am I living in the digital dark ages?

I use Trillian too, but I pretty much only use AIM (same old name, I'm old-fashioned) and IRC.

I use all the popular chat services (even IRC) and use Trillian to try to keep track of everyone. I use Skype as well.

I'm on most everything. As far as everyone who uses Trillian, the programs I use won't be ones you'd want (unless you like working in the command line) either, but friends of mine who have macs like these multi-protocol messengers for the mac: Adium, iChat, Pidgin.

These kinds of programs are basically just an interface to using AIM/MSN/Yahoo/XMPP/etc. So you still need to register the relevant accounts. But, it means you can run just one program and talk to one friend who prefers AIM and another friend who prefers MSN.

I tend to default to XMPP aka Jabber aka LJ Talk aka gtalk, but I use everything listed on my profile plus IRC.

I'm on sometimes but feel like I have not much to say a lot of the time. http://adium.im is the best client for Macs, although iChat is fine for AIM.

Now isn't that odd? I recognised the adium duck and did a search on my laptop and lo and behold, Adium was hidden away in my apps folder somewhere, and there is even a file with your name on it! We must have chatted via adium at one point aeons ago...??? *tries to activate brain matter*
