Really? A poetry version? But how does that work? Presumably it can't be about quantity of words...?

I'm going to try to do a mini nano starting in October, just to get me into the writing mode. Maybe just 20,000 words of anything, not one particular story.

Then, yup, I'll play again come November.

Mini nano, eh? Ah, the ramifications. And then November? You are insane, woman! Two nanos one after one another (never mind that one is so-called mini...!) :-D

Alas, not me, not this year. I'm probably not doing Yuletide, either. I hope 2010 will work out better for writing.

I've never done Yuletide, and last year I forewent nano but this year I really, really feel like it.

Oh My Lord. It's time again for nanowrimo? Time is really flying by. And I might just give it a try this year. It depends of how I settle in in Heidelberg...

What about you?

About a fifth of my very first nano was written in Heidelberg, some of it as I was walking down the Hauptstrasse, holding the notepad in one hand and the pencil in the other. It was insane!!!

Not only insane but also impressive because how did you manage not to run over 50 people in the process?

You would be surprised how fast other pedestrians avoid you if they see you walking along with your head in a notebook! ;-D

Good point. I shall try that again. See if it still works in Heidelberg. :)

Every time I try to do NaNo I end up with a horrible mess that I end up chucking anyway. I'm totally jealous of people who can bang out productive stuff for it.

I remember this from two years ago!! I just enjoyed writing my first nano so much; I'm almost up to the point where I'm saying 'who cares whether what I produce is "good" or not, as long as I am having a fabulous time doing it!' Because god knows, the fabulous times are rare and few between, as it is, and need to be nurtured. :-)
