At first we thought that they were security because they werent signing anything, and just loitering around. But when they sat down behind Bills, Dom and Elijah they seemed to meld in with everyone.. I think, they may be apart of TTT -- I didnt recognise any of them though. One of my friends who was there with me suggested they may be orcs or elves! hmmz I dont know, I'll keep asking around..

Yes, I'd love them to be orcs. That was my first thought: hidden under latex and Weta-masks, nobody would recognise them. But don't Ugluk and Grishnakh play quite a large role in the film? (DO NOT ANSWER THIS QUESTION as I haven't seen TTT yet.) Well, Ugluk is allegedly played by Nathaniel Lees who's Maori so that rules him out. Is one of them Jed Brophy??

And yes, security look different. They don't wear snappy suits like this, and they have stuff in their ears, and Dominic doesn't twist around in his seat to take a photo of security!

*stares at cast list, hoping that the answer will reveal itself*

I've just been on the phone with everyone I know, and a friend who works at Weta said that yes they were in the movie but we wouldn't recognise them (big freaking help he was.. ) I'm waiting for him to call me back after lunch so I can ask more questions in regards to names. Will keep you informed!

Two Men of Mystery Revealed

Tall-dark-and-handsome behind Billy is Karl Urban, who played Eomer. Taller-darker-bohunk-in-sunglasses two people behind Dom is Lawrence Maokare, who played Lurtz and who has another role in ROTK.

Heh, you have just identified two of the men I do happen to know very well, *gg*, Karl Urban being half of my current OTP... And Lawrence also being very familiar.

Ah well, having to deal with these other-fandom types, it is a trial. *sigh*

But thanks for going back to answer such an ancient (!) post!!

And I now have some ideas as to other mystery men, having stared at every orc in TTT very, very carefully after my second viewing. I'll think I may just exclusively slash orc actors from now on. I just adore those orcs!!!!
