A follow-on from my slashy German lesson nr.1.
Grammar preamble:
Subject = the subject of the sentence; the doing-person or doing-thing.
Direct object = the object of the action; the thing/person-being-done-to.
Verb = the doing.
Example: The boy fucks the man.
The boy = subject
The man = direct object
Fucks = the verb (here the verb appears in the third person singular and in the simple present tense)
Back to worksafe lesson sections:
Vocab preamble:
ich = I (as subject)
du = you (as subject)
er = he (as subject)
mich = me (as object)
dich = you (as object)
ihn = you (as object)
You can see where this is going. You only need one little verb now. Let's use a worksafe one first:
lieben = to love
liebe = love (in the first person singular, present tense)
liebst = love (second person sg, pres)
liebt = love (third person sg, pres)
Examples!!
McKay: Ich liebe dich.
Sheppard: Ich liebe dich!
McKay: Ja, ich liebe dich!
Sheppard: O ja, ich liebe dich total!
Another example!!
Harry: Ich liebe dich.
Draco: Hm.
Harry: Liebst du mich?
Draco: Hmf.
Harry: Draco, liebst du mich? Liebst du mich total??
Draco: Nein.
(Guess what the 'nein' means from context!!!)
Third example:
Ron: Harry, Draco liebt dich nicht. (guess from context!!!)
Harry: Er liebt mich nicht?
Ron: Nein, er liebt dich nicht. Er liebt dich total nicht.
Harry: Buhuuhuuu.
Ron: Harry! Er liebt dich nicht! Aber... ich liebe dich.
Harry: Ich liebe dich nicht!
Ron: Argh!
Non-worksafe verb! Whee!
ficken = to fuck
Remember the endings? Ich ficke. Du fickst. Er fickt. Same as 'ich liebe' etc. Which makes sense, does it not?!
Example:
Ron fickt Harry. Er fickt ihn. O ja!
Ron liebt Harry. Er liebt ihn.
Aber Harry liebt Ron nicht. Er liebt ihn total nicht!
Aber er fickt ihn. O ja.
Second example:
Merlin: Arthur, fickst du mich?
Arthur: Nein.
Merlin: Arthur, fickst du mich?
Arthur: Nein!
Merlin: Arthur, Arthur, Arthur! Ich ficke dich!
Arthur: OK.
Third example:
Orlando liebt Dominic. Er fickt ihn.
Elijah liebt Dominic. Er fickt ihn.
Billy liebt Dominic. Er fickt ihn.
Fickt Viggo Dominic? Nein, er fickt ihn nicht.
Dominic: "Viggo, ich liebe dich! Fickst du mich?"
Viggo: "Nein."
Dominic: "Orlando! Elijah! Billy!"
Orlando fickt Viggo. Elijah fickt Viggo. Billy fickt Viggo.
Viggo: "Argh."
End of lesson! Did you figure out those two words from the context? 'Nein', 'nicht' and 'aber'??? Translate them in comments!!!!
Also, pictures to illustrate any of the above will be greatly appreciated for, ahem, pedagogic purposes.
Homework: Comment with a dialogue on the above model, substituting pairings of your choice.

Date: 2009-12-15 11:35 am (UTC)It is difficult to construct subtle and complex interactions, using only very basic vocab and grammar... And I was using the present tense to mean the future but, um, didn't really make this clear.
But hey, small dicks! That can be the next lessons: onwards to the wonders of the adjective!
