Watch the awesomeness that is Shahrukh Khan, who is elegant, witty, post-colonially-aware, handsome, graceful, polite, manly-banterly, and just impossibly charming on youtube. Also: he has the most delicious accent in English I have ever encountered. He is also what in German I would call 'souverän': sovereignly in control.

Apart from me always having found Indian looks/accent lovely, I'll just repeat again that he sounds great and out-looks Barrowman.

NO YOU DONT OMG OHNOTHEYDIDNT is the comm I complained about, biggest one on LJ, all my flistflist is full of tabloid crap. I linked you to one once, the other news won't be news to you but I can do it again. Just don't dirty your brain soul eyes with it otherwise.

PS: suave? I think that not only sounds similar but really is exactly what he is. Suave is looks and manners after all.

ETA: you are so right, more people need to see, he's outsmarting the Ross who doesn't quite get it, and you'd expect his mangled lingo not to be that easy to understand, while really him never paying attention makes him look like he's not following the flawless English of the Khan.
Plus it's another voice in the Slumdog Millionaire debate.

And yes, re the outsmarting and exactly, J.Ross's pretend I-am-from-an-East-End-slum accent gets on my nerves majorly, much like the Blair's faux I-am-a-man-of-the-people Estuarine. What a great point, love it all.
What is the Slumdog Millionaire debate you refer to? All I know is that it makes me feel a bit tired.

I guess googling once a month would be enough and get you more info than getting embroiled in ONTD. They had Hritik once, IIRC, and the grandmaster whose name I forgot but we both know who.

Subtly, at times, and even though I'm sure he had been prepped to the nines it was incredible how he avoided questions he really didn't want to answer yet jabbed at prejudice and eg. turned the working *with* Chan into a matter of him *hiring* him for his own movie (which I'm also dying to see, although remembering that huge blue ET of theirs I'm not sure I'll be won over - I'm sure you'll be happy to see him in tights though ... THEY DID PRINT OUT HIS NUDE IMAGE THOUGH you said no (he bragged about his size, sheesh, men)).
While SRK and the grandmaster where for the film, people on LJ condemned it in the same vein as Shamalayan's Airbender; considering Boyle's portrayal of his own people was infinitely dirtier, I am also just tired.
