Anyone know anything about this German soap, set in Berlin and called 'Good Times, Bad Times', especially about its m/m subplot of Lenny/Carsten??

Goodness, there are soaps outside Verbotene L.???

I only know that many people are really enjoying it and that one of the actors (either Lenny or Carsten, I'm not sure which) is leaving the show by summer, so there are mixed feelings about it in that little fandom right now.

Yes, Roman and Deniz are very enjoyable. I second them as another German Soap to watch! I like them muchly. Enough to have an icon or two! (Sadly, as hard as I try, I can't get all OTP about them, and really love Roman only, and tolerate Deniz 'cause Roman loves him so much, but that soap has some other really fun storylines, too, and the girls who do the subtitles do more than just Roman and Deniz stuff, a lot more, and that's fun! My favorite scenes have always been Roman/Annette/Ingo friendship scenes. They are my OT3.

Even if it potentially doesn't last, you should totally watch it. Basicalyl this guy Lenny was in the German military (one year draft thingie), Carsten who is basically the same age was his supervisor back then. Lenny was beaten and abused in the military (really gruesome story) and Carsten was the only one looking out for him.

Many months later they meet again and Casten is now out of the military as well and running with a violent youth gang. Lenny joins as well and the sparks start flying, but zomg, they can't admit it.

It's a bit outdated, lots of stuff has happened since then such as Lenny freaking out and selling Casten out, then regretting it and finally admitting to zher pure love and turning himself in to the police for Carsten and now potentially getting sentenced just as the boys become a couple and like tearfully having to to admit to his gayness in court etc. Seems very soapy. Check out the picture spam/explanation thingie, it's quite good.

omg my rl friend said that the soap was coming up to a major plot turning point, and this court thing must be it! Thanks for link to guide and picspam! I've seen one fanvid of L/C since I posted and it does look good: the two of them look good; one of them had a cut lip (yes!); there seemed to be a lot of angst floating round. omg *must resist*
