The house selling business is total stress. Either there's a house you want but nobody wants to buy your house so you have no money to buy this other house. Or there's someone who wants to buy your house but you haven't got anywhere you want to buy so you don't want to move out and the person who wanted to buy your house pulls out.

Argghrhhh!

It is awful! Plus real estate agents never tell you the truth.

The worst thing is I have found my dream house and we don't have the money to buy it. Nobody wants our pile of bricks, it seems, and I am having dreams about this other house that we'll never live in because richer people will snap it up and I guess that's why it's a dream house. Argh. It puts me in a bad mood.

I know all about dream houses. In my cases it's dream apartments and I have one in Berlin and one in heidelberg. Not that I ever set foot in either of them but still. So I'm keeping my fingers and my toes crossed that it will work out for you after all.

It's awful. I hate this house hunting; it's putting me in such a bad mood. We can barely afford the dream house even if we sold our house, and if nobody wants to buy our house, we can't afford the dream house at all, and it's ANNOYING ARGH, why can't we be rich? I asked the boys to dig up the garden today, in the hopes of locating Roman treasure...

And? Did they un-earth a treasure?

But yes, it is dead annoying. much easier if the money was just there to buy the new one so you could be relaxed about selling the old one. Instead of having to somehow time it perfectly. It doesn't even sound like fun. :(

Would there be the option of renting something in between selling the old house and getting the new one? Or is renting not really done in the Uk either?

No, you can't really rent in the UK. Too miserable. Although people do rent as an interim solution but I don't want the stress. Moving twice?? Argh. And who knows, it might be YEARS...!

Guess what, Juna? World Cup coming up!! We've known each other for four years!!

Yeah, I forgot about the moving twice. Yikes.

Time went just flying by, didn't it? Whee! I'm so excited about the world cup. I foresee the usual difficulties whenever Germany plays and I'm the only one not cheering for them but other than that? This will be fun!

ughhhh, sounds awful. We seem to be firmly ensconced in our little house, bought before our home prices bubble and just hanging in there.

Price bubble! I hate it! We had a price bubble here except our house was somehow in a bubble of its own, exempt from all frenzy, and then everything slumped in the credit crisis and nothing sold, including our house, and now the prices are all shooting up again, except the one on our house. Grr.
