We went on a family outing in the rain today, had a pizza and then a pleasant afternoon tea by a logfire in the local hotel (very English, very Baskerville -- or Basketball, as my son calls it). On the way home, I turned on the car radio only to be greeted by the voice of Gollum.

Yes, Andy Serkis was in the studio and reading out the traffic report in Gollum/Smeagol voice! And he can really just fall into that voice at the drop of a hat.

Hm, the hubster already excells at doing the Alan-Hansen voice and the Sean-Connery voice. How long, I wonder, will it take him to perfect Andy-as-Gollum -- and if there is a 'Teach yourself Gollumspeak' tape I could give him as a present...??

Gollum-voice is easy, we were doing it on the bus all the way back from the pictures last week. And it often gets employed whenever anyone dares to touch my new phone; "Leaves it alone! Thieving hobbiteses!"

Yes, have come round to this view because after seeing TTT for the second time today, my 4-year old son can now do Gollum to perfection.
