The Comprehensive Spending Review fills me with Comprehensive Cold Dread.

On Tuesday I am going to London to be vetted by a head-hunting agency (!!).

(What to wear?)

On 2 November we move house. I was so stressed by the period leading up to exchange of contracts that I got a urinary tract infection. (Until 3 months ago, I didn't even know what the phrase 'exchange of contracts' meant, let alone entails.)

I am reading a book called The Higher Education Manager's Handbook, writing the Annual Monitoring Review, filling in TT1 forms for timetabling, getting removalists to come to the house and collating quotes, chasing the cats down the bottom of the garden to get them to the vet so that they can be vaccinated in order to go into a cattery while we are moving and then, 2 days later, going to Munich for 3 days (insanity!), dismantling the trampoline (wot won't fit into new house), ordering CDs on t'internet for t'son whose birthday is in 3 days, running around town to find clothes to wear for award ceremony in Munich, drafting a presentation for possible job interview.... and what wonder that I never get to visit you all on LJ among all this.

I miss you!

Oh My God. And I thought I was stressed! Now I know better and am keeping all fingers and toes crossed that the infection clears up right away, the house moving goes as smoothly as these things can go, the cds arrive on time, the cats behave, the job interviews goes well and yes. All fingers and toes crossed! :D

Oder um es mit einem ehemaligen deutschen TV-Format zu sagen: Tschakaa! Du schaffst es! Lol.

Oh dear, I know nothing of German television so Tschakaa whatever means nothing to me. :-(

Thank you for crossed fingers! Infection is now gone. House not yet happened but tomorrow!!! CDs arrived! Cats are traumatised. Interview went well but didn't get job. :-(

I don't think I ever watched that show either but it was a guy who performed like instant-Vrhaltenstherapie on air. And Tschakaa! was his motto for 'you can do it'. Or so I was told and deduced from a commercial or two. Somehow it might its way into general vocabulary.

And as tomorrow is today - I hope everything went good with the house, too?
