life to normal?
Nov. 7th, 2010 10:53 pmLife may (may!) be going back to some semblance of 'normal' but this is not guaranteed...
After having applied for a managerial position (and not got it) and moving house and going to London to witness t'h get a medal from the German ambassador and giving a talk at t'local museum and giving a talk at t'Royal Academy and flying to Munich to witness t'h get a prize from the German federal president and staying in a totally posh rich people's hotel with spa and women with lapdogs and people like Franz Kafka and Lou Reed and Daniel Craig on their guest list...
... it may now be back to a routine of unpacking boxes, being amazed at our new location after the move and worrying about the future of university education in t'UK.

P.S. Also: WHAT HAPPENED TO MY USERPICS????? What evil thing has LJ done while I was not looking????
I used to have 70 and now I have 7!!!!

Date: 2010-11-07 10:55 pm (UTC)To answer your question about userpics, you're a Basic account and can only have up to 15 userpics (if you purchase extra userpic spaces, otherwise it's a maximum of 6). I'm guessing that you had 70 while you were still a paid account user and that maybe while you were busy your upgrade came to an end? It's possible that buying a paid account again may restore your 70 icons, provided your userpic extension didn't run out. If it ran out then you either need to buy extra userpics for your basic account, or get a paid account with extra userpics.

worrying about the future of university education in t'UK.
I worry about the future of secondary education in GR, but I've concluded it's hopeless to worry: things are bound to get worse.
Have you settled in the new house and neighborhood yet?

Not 100 % settled in yet but the house is fantastic! The neighbourhood is right in the centre of town so it's quite heady.
I like this: don't worry, it's getting crappier. Whee.
