OK, the weirdoes from the school have stopped mailing me, mainly because I blocked their address from my account but is this normal?

Hello

Just wanted to say that your stories are good especiallt the ones with Orlando Bloom, Billy Boyd and Dominic Monaghan!!
Please write some stories about Elijah Wood!!!!!
And thousand more about Orlando......
Well thanks for the novells they are great!!!!!!
Dearest a big fan

Yes, the original email was also written in mega-big font. How to reply even? If at all.

Sigh, what are slashreaders coming to? Soon I'll be ranting, [livejournal.com profile] zarah5-like.

Does anyone else get these?? [livejournal.com profile] eyebrowofdoom? [livejournal.com profile] badgermonkey?

I think it's time to foreswear hobbitsnorli for good. They seem to be the primary targets for eliciting such whateveritis. Bern and John never get such email. Heh, they are much too dignified...

Onward with the manly!!

Oh, er, and Karl/Dom ... but Karl is so far also immune from the teenies.

Yes, and well may you say:'Woman, you are in Italy, haven't you got other things to worry about?' But I do, I do, and that's precisely why...

Sometimes I feel like the internet is being overrun by semi-illiterate teenies. I think to myself, "at least they're reading and exploring," but then I wonder if this is just a new form of couch-potato-itis...

And I wouldn't bother to respond, personally. I doubt they'll notice one way or another, somehow.

Oh don't reply, for heaven's sake, you don't have to and they might think you want to talk to them.

Select quotes from random fb I received:

* "You make the dialouge between them completely realistic."

* "I wanted to ask you something...did you think you'd ever right a sequel in which Billy dies (not suicide) becuz it seems Dom's more in it for the sex and poor Billy's the one who's pining away. Oh, and WONDEFUL STORIES!"

* i noticed that you have written alot about dominig monaghan and i love him too

I also got an email from someone who called herself 'Lizabeth, which I found so twee I wanted to go round to her house and throw all three volumes of LotR, and a hardback Hobbit at her head.

And why am I spamming your LJ when I could be, oh, writing?

::choke on giggles:: Oh my. That's absolutely beautiful.

As for replying, Lobelia - nah. In Pippin's words: "Don't talk to it, Merry! Don't encourage it."

For the record, the worst I've got from hotmail is, oh yes, a feedback *poem*.

Loved the story
what it continues on
breathe holding
for love unfolding

... I have no words.

I feel left out. I don't really get weird feedback like that at all. Most of mine tends to be the predictable one-liners, or actually nice and coherent and interesting. Damn.

Don't worry, you're not the only one. I'm pretty much used to emails like this. Say "Thank you, feedback is always appreciated." And basta. No need to think much on how to reply to something like this.

Don't you just hate if they try to make you write a certain person or pairing? I know I do. Heck, there've been people asking me to write about actors (well, I guess they're actors) that I've never even heard of.

Heh. And, y'know, I think it would be great if you started ranting. Makes me feel less alone and all that.

I guess I don't get as much, since I tend to write about the *adults* (for lack of a better term). And I don't write the popular pairings, thank God. Cause some of the FB I got for "Savior" was enough to make me remember why I *don't* write VigOrli.

But, yeah, sometimes I do get the FB where they want me to rewrite the ending, because they didn't like it (um, the fuck...?). Or to write a certain pairing (again with the fuck...?). Cause, yeah, you know, I really am a trained monkey who sits slavishly at the computer waiting for people to randomly spit out pairings & settings at me so I can write their fucking OTPs.
